Yeah, I would have. My only question at this point is high ISO and battery performance, as well as 3rd party software support. The ISO 200 thing is a little weird, but workable, I guess. A little bit of a pain for daylight flash, but no big deal. I'm not sure that the 500 works either...someone was playing with one down there, and it would only fire in manual. Of course, it was pre-production, so I have no idea how these issues will pan out in the final specs. I'm also guessing they'll come out with a 500FGZ at some point. Back when I switched, I knew pentax would be releasing a digital body, and the D is about what I expected. It's a really good camera, and very competitive with the 10D. If it has good performance at 1600, then it's probably a better camera. Knowing this, I still went with Canon, as I was expecting to upgrade to a full frame at some point, the pro zooms are very nice, and IS is just crazy. tv
