"Focus and recompose" is better known as "Missed Shot" when it comes to moving subjects.

I was wondering what the point of having selectable AF points might be. In my shooting (hack), I find that it's probably easier to focus and recompose than to compose and then fiddle with the camera to figure out which AF point to use. Perhaps it's a case of using a point or set of points most of the time and being able to select others when the situation arises?
