Starting at the oldest (and largest): The SpeedGraphic gets used for portraits in B&W. These are the ones that get enlarged to 12x16 or 16x20. I also use the 110 year old Instantograph for portraits, but this is more about showing off and having fun than fine art. I do get a real kick out of using it though. The Moskva 5 6x9 rangefinder has barely been used. The prices of second hand 6x7 gear took a nosedive and suddenly I didn't need it, but I may take it next time I travel O/S as it is very compact and surprisingly good optically. The 6x7 is also used for portraits but as it is a relatively recent addition I haven't really explored its capabilities much. The MZ5n is for AF and TTL flash. The LX is still finding its niche. That may end up being macro and it may double up with the MZ5n if I do a wedding. The MXs are part collectible and part compact camera (with the 40/2.8).
In a rational world I would sell most of this off when I get an *ist-D and just keep the 4x5 stuff and a couple of MXs, but I really haven't had a chance to play with half of the stuff yet, so I'll probably hang on to it for a while yet. Maybe I'll let the MZ5n go... maybe. Paul Ewins Melbourne, Australia
