I've just taken my four month old PC back to the shop for the second time. The SATA drive died first time around, so when I got the replacement I bought a second one and tried to setup the onbaord RAID to do drive mirroring. I never got it to work and it looks like the drive may have gone belly up again. It gets halfway through loading windows and then reboots - even in safe mode. The trouble is that XP dosn't have drivers for SATA drives, so you need to load them from floppy but of course they are all on CD. Anyway I have taken it back to the shop and will let them sort it out. Meanwhile I'm back to using Dad's old iMac which desperately needs rebuilding too.
