I just have my mail client sort messages that are addressed to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" into a folder. Works well, and saves confusion.
Works well... until someone cc:s a mail to the list. A better option that catches even that case is to filter on some header that the list server inserts, like Resent-From, X-Mailing-List, Resent-Sender or Reply-To. That way you can be sure that it is a mail that has been passing the server.
