Clive evans <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "complained" Not just British cars that are leaky......... I had a porsche 911 carrera cabriolet in the mid 80s [one of the last witt the useful picnic table rear wing] Fabulous car, but after two years the carpets were always wet after rain, had new seals fitted on the hood , no change, turned out that there is a groomet in the floor pan yjthat had come out and water aws coming UP [not DOWN] into the car! I took Porsche GB a year to find that out.........................................cost me a fortune in girlfriends shoes........................
At least with the Boxster, Porsche figured out an outstanding way to eliminate the window seal leak. As you open the door, the window goes down slightly, unsealing the door. When you shut the door, the window goes up completely, thus effecting a wind, air and water seal. But than, I've had much less sophisticated Chrysler LeBaron and Sunbeam convertibles that didn't leak. Of course they didn't do other things that they should have. But neither do I. Larry in Dallas
