I noticed[1] that my K24/3.5 vignettes with the generic round hood when using a filter (HMC Skylight). And that's a 24, not a 17. Does your hood have a thread for filters perhaps? Might be worth trying. Kostas [1] Not that subtle either, though it's not visible from the viewfinder.
