What are the relative noise level of PZ-1p and MZ-S for shutter + winding (compared
to SF-1n and MZ-5n cameras I already know as a reference)?
Can't compare them to the references, as I don't have either but, compared to each other, I would say that the MZ-S is quieter. Unfortunately it is also more irritating, due to the higher pitch of the noise. This may be due to reduced mirror noise, leaving the predominant sounds of the shutter and the motor.
Being completely subjective, the Z1-p sounds more authoritative, the MZ-S sounds like a hamster sneezing (copyright William Robb).

And the LX sounds like...
I'd say like a prehistoric zorus flapping its feet while running after a mad scientist.
I'm beginning to see the Z1p as a valuable replacement for the LX when stage photographing although I'm not sure how much more it will give me compared to the SF-1n (I have not yet tried for such purpose). I don't need 1/8000 but 4 i/s is interesting as is 1/250 sync. Noise is a major factor, size not at all.
Is the focus aid for manual lenses working fine in low light on a PZ1p?
Can it use the IR beam of the inner flash (or an external dedicated flash) as a focus aid even if I don't intent to use the flash?
