I have made a manual cable release to electronic cable release converter and it's quite easy. I bought a small plastic box and 2 lever activated micro-switches. Drilled a hole in the plastic case and tapped a thread for the cable release then mounted the micro-switches so that the manual release would push on one micro-switch leaver which then pushes on the second a little later. You then wire up the switches and put the appropriate plug on the end. I can send you a picture of the insides once I get the *istD, but I don't have one ready at the moment. I've used this with a Z1p and the MZ-S and will make it work with the *istD too. Hope this helps if you haven't already made one. Leon http://www.bluering.org.au http://www.bluering.org.au/leon
