This is a very good flash with a lot of capabilities that your SF10 cannot exploit. To answer your question, covering 28mm means that if you attached a 28mm lens to your camera, the flash would be able to sufficiently illuminate your subject (whereas this would not be the case immediately for a wider angle lens). I have a Cobra 750AF which I bought for �30 from eBay and I am very happy with it. The manual does not state the SF10, but if it's the same as the SF7, you may want to try it. I think you can also make the most of your camera's abilities with any TTL flash.
