Hi Pat, I was in the same boat myself recently*. I managed to pick up an F 70-210mm and am very pleased with it - so I just echo what everyone else has said. FWIW, I decided not to get a shorter range zoom. Instead I picked up an F 50/1.7 (love it!) to replace my M50/1.7 and will just keep using my M28/3.5. Cheers, Simon

Pat, I'll repeat what I learned lately: the F 70-210mm is both very good and affordable. In the WA range, I don't know, as the very good 24-90mm is probably too expensive.
