Though my ME Super is still in repairs <sigh> I do remember that I always tried to cock the shutter only just before the shot. You see, my understanding is that the whole mechanism except shutter is still mechanical. So obviously then, it wouldn't be too good to leave it cocked for a long time. I don't think though that shutter itself cares about its cockiness <grin>.
