You know, it's just hard for anyone to compete with the kind of resources Canon has. If Pentax had come out with a Rebel D analog first, then folks would have screamed about the lack of quality. And the *ist D is just no the cmaera that they can sell for <$1000. Canon can just get things to market so quickly (even compared with Nikon) that Pentax will always lag.
