So, I was once again performing my Sunday ritual of watching Vanessa
play hockey and slowly building my hockey-shootin' skills, and this week
I decided to pull out the 67 since I had some shortdated Provia 400
(non-F) in 120 lounging in the fridge. I figured I'd shoot it in the 67
and some Provia 400F in the LX, both at 1600, to get an idea of the
differences between them...not in grain but in detail and colour when
pushed. (Provia 400F is wayyyy better.)
Anyhow, going from the LX with the SMC-A* 200mm f2.8 to the SMC-67 105mm
f2.4 on the 67 was a bit of an eye-opener...the 67's viewfinder image
was distinctly colder and darker, but easier to focus. I was thinking
that it's either the screen (the LX has a Beattie in it, the 67 has the
factory default) or the prism...or the fact that the image is so much
bigger from the 67 to begin with...
Anyone want to weigh in with info or observations?
This'll be the only potential stopper to an MZ-S purchase for me: the viewfinder.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
