I'll add my 2 worth in. I do, however, find this PUG is indicative of the problem many of us may have with critiquing others work. I thought, as usual, it to be a good gallery, but I found little OMG this is great or OMG what were they thinking. I think this is why I like the alternating theme/open format.
My favorite is Arthur Hsu's No Title. I thought he did an exceptional job lighting what looks to be a difficult subject. Jonathan A Donald's In thought. A nice contemplative mood. I would like to see the image a little darker with maybe a touch more contrast. Steve Desjardins' Balloon Ride. Works well as is. I would like to see the image with the saturation kicked up a bit and maybe burning in the flame (no pun intended). This also begs one of the philosophical questions. I am a big fan of digital manipulation. A number of people on the list do not believe in applying digital manipulation to their images. So my critiques are going to come from my perspective which may not be an option for some of differing philosophies. Butch Each man had only one genuine vocation - to find the way to himself.
