I had an email from the local store today that they had the *ist D in stock, on the off chance I wanted to have a look at it. I did, of course. I didn't get much chance to inspect it, but my initial impression was strongly favourable.
Enough so that I bought one, with the battery grip and the 18-35mm lens. The batteries are charging and I will have more to write about it later, I am sure. William Robb
