I do exactly the same thing, only with a slightly different screen setup. 
 Primary monitor is a Philips 19" at 1600x1200, secondary is a Digital 
(brand) 15" at 1024x768.  I calibrated the 19" screen with the 
Colorvision Spyder package which made a huge difference.

Dual screens are absolutely wonderful.  I will never go back.  I'd like a 
second 19" as the dpi is different on both screens, but the desk is full 
already.
