It took about three days, and maybe 10 loads in Karen's (my new housemate) Subaru Justy, but I'm all moved out of the apartment, and moved into the new digs.
Lots more room. The cameras are all unpacked. Sadly, there's no room for my stereo, which lies inconnected in the basement - I'll have to listen to jazz on a little crapola sounding boombox - but maybe I can put my CD player/DAC and integrated amp into my room and get a decent pair of headphones. We'll figure something out.
So, now I'll be able to contribute my sweet nothings to the list again - been kind of quiet these last few days.
