LOL. My bad juxtaposition of sentences I'm afraid. That first paragraph should read:
Hot air balloon, that's more my cup of tea.
For filming big fires, major road accidents etc we use a Squirrel (helicopter) which means sitting in the cold with the door off. I don't mind that but I avoid anything else (like travelling in the load bays of Hercules C-130s with virtually no windows) where I can.
Ah, that makes sense :-)
Nice pics BTW Anders :-)
Thank you. I have a couple of friends that are die-hard parachuters. Some of them do BASE jumps from antenna towers, tall buildings etc. One of them even did parachute stunts for Angelina Jolie in her recent movie. However, sometimes they rent a hot air balloon to dive off from, and when they do that they need a couple of persons that stay aboard so that the ballon won't be too light and help the pilot with the landing. It was an awesome experience to fly, and to see them jump off, and also to see the regular tourist ballons some 5000 feet below...
Here's how the Stockholm sky often looks like in calm summer evenings: http://anders.hultman.nu/bilder/221/221-13.jpeg
