Well, as you can imagine, they're going nuts about it over at LUG. I haven't really been following the thread, but it seems that they don't know much more about it than the links that we've seen. Besides, I've been away all weekend, and I'm just catching up on a couple of days of e-mail (naturally, I check PDML before LUG <g>).

What I do know is that it's a fixed lens camera. So, lovely as that lens looks, that's the only one that you'll have on that camera. It's not M mount or R mount.

Also, the Leica lenses that have been put on Panasonic digitals to date aren't made in Germany, Canada, Portugal, or any other place that Leica has a factory. They're designed by Leica, licensed to Panasonic, and who knows who Panasonic gets to make them. Not that that's such a big deal, but if you're paying big bucks for a "Leica" lens, maybe you want to know that sort of stuff.

If I find out anything more over at LUG (like maybe price?), I'll let ya know.

cheers,
frank

Manual focus ring on the barrel (hopefully - a_realy_manual_focus ring),
aperture ring, shutter dial on the top plate, "classic" (familiar) design
(not the most important feature, but still :-)
