Oh, that's a lovely lens! I've owned one of those in the past. Didn't have it at the same time as the Vivitar so I don't know how they'd compare. Still, the Vivitar's strictly manual focus so they're kind of different animals. I keep the Vivitar in my "small and light" kit. The relatively wide aperture and 1:2.5 macro capability make it really versatile.
