I have an ME super which gives me problems only if I switch it off. The
LEDs flicker (different pattern to the low battery flicker) and I get
occasional mechanical shutter (125th) rather than the indicated speed.
Problem goes away if I leave it switched on all the time (even in bag) and
I've noticed no shortened battery life. I had assumed that when the LEDs go
out it has switched off power completely. It also solves the problem of the
fiddly release from locked position.
