Shooting slide film is the best way to learn about photography. You will see 
your successes and your mistakes. I shoot mostly slides. When I do shoot 
prints I quickly begin to doubt my abilities. It's usually because the person doing 
the printing has no idea what they are doing. Shoot slides and get a good 
film scanner and you have the best of both worlds..
