Small size, light weight, decent optics. Not too often you find an 18-35mm zoom for that little money that also works on 35mm Pentax film SLRs that control aperture via the body... and is a true 18-35mm on a film body. It's a good all-round lens. Use it for snapshots and general purposes, then break out the excellent glass for special shots. chris
