Yes, most consider them junk. Don't know about the body (?), but I had an Albinar zoom for my K-1000 (sold a while back) that I actually thought was not too bad. No obvious distortions, etc. A bit on the soft side, but, still not bad. Try shooting with the 50mm on a K-1000 and see what you think. HTH Marnie aka Doe
