Wednesday. I gave him a list so he'd get it right. He was so afraid of getting it
wrong,
he rang me from the store to check! Lucky for me he did. I checked the prices with him
before he paid for the stuff. A ribbon for the P400 would have cost $80 (79.99). I
quickly
checked on-line and CC had the same for $57.71. Pack of paper was $10 cheaper too. I
told
Paul to tell the guy at Henrys the price I could get it for, but they weren't in a
price-matching mood, so I told him to leave it. Postage was $12, so I still saved $20
on
two items.

That is fast.I was looking at their D2H price and they are taking pre orders.I was just
afraid
of sending someone $4600 through an internet web site.
Henrys used to be good for bargining,at least on some high end used equipment.I think
that
is changing
too.Last year Jeff and i looked at a 645 folder that JUST came off a 25% sale(day
before)and went back
to pre sale price.Sales guy would not budge on the price at all.

Wendy,is that the Olympus P400 dye sub printer that you mention. If so how do
you
like it and
have you tested it under any extreme on site conditions,ie: windy dusty locations.
My S800(year and a half old) is at the point now that in some small rooms the show
orginizers put me
in, i have to have a fan on it all day or it prints very weird things(room isa stuffy
and
hot).At home or in
a very open space,no problems.
I'm thinking of the 400 or maybe the Epson 925 Bill Owens just bought. He sent me some
samples,very
impressive. I have heard though the dye subs dont handle dust very well and a small
amount can
screw up a print.
Comments are app.
