I can't help but think that film is on it's way out. At least to the point
that there won't be anywhere near as much R&D put into it as there was in
the heyday of the medium.
Digital imaging offers far to many advantages to all involved for it to not
really take off.
As film sales volumes go down, there will be less incentive for companies to
put R&D money into the medium, especially when they need to be putting it
into sensor technology.
