I do agree thet changing LX screens is really difficult.

The frame tends to go down alone in my experiences.
When this occurs, you should go the frame up slowly and down it
again. If the screen still remains up, try it again. Then
you will see the screen comes down with the frame.
Do not touch the screen directly to come it down.
This is the most important point to quit the screen.

I agree that attaching the frame properly with the screen on
it seems more difficult than quitting the screen.
It seems important to move the frame slowly, and if you feel
strong pressure moving it up, just stop moving further. And
try it again from the very begining.
I heard that Pentax made the frame not only as a frame but
also as a pressure plate to press the screen to the upper
part of the mirror box properly.
