I see what your getting at.  Well from a distance they look the same.
The loupe test is to see limit of detail. In general, the one that
looks better under the loupe of an 11" print is going to look better
at larger size.  BTW, I find that 11" prints are great for an album
but are way too small for wall hanging. I like 11"X17 or larger for
framing......

But, how many people view an 11" print through a loupe.  Most folks hang one
that size on the wall and view it from several feet away.
