Yes, "hold the button"... My MZ-6 can take bulb exposures up to 8 hours, and
Pentax seems to think I can "hold the button" that long. I can't even keep
the remote in the proper direction, as my hand don't have a tripod socket
;-)
The cable can be locked, and it can activate the meter/AF (by half-pressing
it). And you are not limited to IR remote mode (isn't the timer/mirror
lock-up on the same button with *ist?).
Another thing: the IR remote batteries must be changed in a service (it may
be important, if you're using the bulb mode frequently).
