Other than looking out for 3.5 constant aperture, and the 67mm filter ring, mine has a macro ring between the aperture ring and the big one-touch zoom/focus ring. I don't see one in the picture - maybe it's there, though, and also, maybe not all of the S1's had it.
Also, my S1 doesn't have the little raised white dot on the aperture ring like the one in the piccie has. Probably doesn't mean much, though.
Other than the macro ring, it sure looks like one, though.

Well it *looks* a lot like the Vivitar Series 1 that was built by Kiron. But I thought the Series 1 lenses were designed by Vivitar and just built by other companies, in which case Kiron wouldn't be licensed to sell it under their own name. When you get it let us know if it's a constant f/3.5 aperture and has 67mm filter threads - that's what the Kiron/Vivitar was. See http://www.robertstech.com/vivitar.htm
