No. The reason being that the aperture lever on the back of the lens
interferes with body parts inside the camera.

Remove the lever, and it's a whole new ballgame.

The best thing about K to EOS is the film register distance is right.

The M42 and K mount register is 45.46mm (distance from flange of bayonet
mount - the hindmost part of the lens that contacts the frontmost part of
the camera - to the film plane)

On EOS it is 44mm. This means a thickness of 1.46mm has to be inserted
between lens and camera - *just* enough metal to be viable. And in fact
just the right thickness as found in the good old M42 / EOS adapter
readily available. It was one of these adapters that I had drilled out to
accept longer screws from the Pentax lens. It works superbly.

Some K lens also have a small raised protector at the aperture lever,
this must be removed as well either by cutting off, or removing the
plastic surround to which it is attached.
