I want to get my son a keyboard for Christmas, of the musical kind. He will likely take lessons at some point. I don't want to spend the Earth right away. I was considering a Yamaha PSR170, which is classed as a beginner's portable keyboard. Any thoughts? Any advice? Any recommendations?
