Almost the same - on *istD in P mode you change aperture value with rear
dial and shutter speed with front dial, thus you can freely change to Av or
Tv mode with tjust rotation of rear or front dial respectively. You return
to P mode by just pressing green button :-) That's called hyper-programm by
Pentax.

I think wisely put buttons and dials if tied to often used functions can be
very helpful especially on DSLRs. Thanks Cotty!
