The K2 is about as good as it gets, despite being a little loud and a bit 
hefty (its the heaviest of all the K-mount bodies, not sure how it 
compares to the M42 stuff).

OK, I'll let you off the hook :)  I have owned four K2's at various times 
(three simultaneously).  I kept the one which was in the best operational 
condition.  One of the K2s I sold was my first SLR.  It was really tough 
selling that one.
