have you compared battery life versus CompactFlash cards? i see that the 4GB MicroDrive card draws 310mA when writing while most CF cards are in the 65mA range. i'm right now using a 1GB CF card and it holds only 70 RAW images. the alternative is to spend more and get a 2GB CF card instead.
