Hallo,
on the www.photozone.de Alexander gave a link to the german pentax side with
a flash overview:

http://www.pentax.de/mediapool/attachments/photo/100/106/97229/Blitzuebersic
ht.pdf

There it was shown, that the AF360FGZ will work in TTL-mode with the LX,
Super A and 645

I tested it and now the surprise. The AF360 works on the LX in TTL mode.
The flash confirmation after the flash is also working.
But no word in the AF360 manual about it.

The display is showing P-TTL mode and the flash correction can be adjusted,
but I'm not I think it is not working, as the flash loading time is the same
with and without flash exposer correction.
And now a funny thing:
If I use the AF360 on the Z-1p it switches to TTL in the display. If I turn
the flash off and put it on the LX and turn it on again, the display shows
also TTL. It keeps showing TTL, even if you switch it off and on.
If I put the batteries out and in again, the display show P-TTL.
If I have used it on the MZ-S it shows later on the LX the P-TTL display.

I have never tested it because it is not mentioned in the manual of the
AF360.
I have bought specialy the AF280T for my LX, I think I will sell it now.

Is it no funny? Pentax has build a flash which is more compatible than older
flashes like the AF500. It works with 30 year old cameras like the K2, MX
(Automatik mode) oder LX(TTL). That was at the time the MZ-S and MZ-SDigi
was developed.

And than was a paradigma change of the design goals at Pentax.
They builded a camera like the *ist and *istD where the exposere measurement
is incompatibel by purpose. There is no technical reason, why the exposer
measurement is not working on stop down mode (DOF) with K-lenses.
Therefore write complaining mails to Pentax.

Rdiger
