Well, you guys finally enabled me.
I've been watching for a nice Spotmatic on ebay and the price was never
right. I found one for $60 at a local camera show, no dents or bruises so I
bought it.
After figuring out how to turn the meter on, I shot a roll of 12. But I
noticed the meter seems off, way too slow. It also move very slowly, and not
very far when I change f-stops. If f 5.6 is the centered position, then f 4
barely moves it and you need f 22 to push it out of the small central area.
I'd check the battery, but don't have it with me...
And what's the deal on the batteries? Did people say it took a 1.35 volt,
but had a bridge so 1.5 volt was OK? (This is an old Honeywell Spotmatic, no
flash holder integrated into the pentaprism.)
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards, Bob S.
