I have four (too many) LX's, all of which have gone for routine CLA's within the past couple of years (Pentax USA in Colorado). One of the three did not (yet) have the "left side meter switch" functionality, but it was successfully retrofitted as part of the CLA (I don't remember the cost offhand, but it really didn't add all that much to the price of a "standard" CLA, as I recall.) It's a useful feature if you use the LX with the winder (and perhaps with the motor drive - I don't know how "trigger-happy" the shutter button is with a motor drive). However, if an LX is wound by hand, it's probably of limited value (although I guess that it's an individual thing). Fred, K1FW
