Hi Bruce ... The lighthouse @ Pt. Reyes is a nice place to visit. Morning is definitely a better time for photographing it, as you discovered.
Have you ever tried photographing the East Brother Island lighthouse in Richmond? Was there on Wednesday and discovered a few places where some great shots could be taken from the shore.
