Ok, just got back from Thanksgiving with the sister, her family, and my
parents. shot only a few (40 or so) images with the ist-D. Started looking
at them on my home computer today. well, while inserting and ejecting the
CF cards as I normally do one of them got a bit corrupted. It showed 488MB
used, 10MB available but didn't show me my pictures. HMMMMM.... took it
out and put it in the camera. "CF card full" or some such message. This is
good, hit the "play" button. "No image"... not good...

Plug card back into CF reader. Nothing. I KNOW there are 35 images on this
card as I had been looking at them recently.

So I've downloaded a free trial of an image rescue program and it seems to
be finding my images. Of course it re-names them with a .tif extension, but
as soon as I change them to .pef, I can see them.

Anybody else have a situation where your CF card is full, the computer
indicates that it's full but you can't see your images?
