I have the vertical grip on my *istD with batteries in both the body and the grip. Just now, the camera indicated the batteries were dead. I switched it off and back on and it reported full. I'm guessing that it switched from one set to the other. Anybody have any idea how this is supposed to work? Does it run off the ones in the body first and then off the grip? It didn't seem to seamlessly switch from one set to the other.
