1) no, no testing and I'm not exactly sure how to go about it.
2) acquisitions specifically for digital have been:
*ist-D + Grip + 512MB card
FA24/2 (second hand)
8 x NiMh AA's and charger
which all adds up to around AUD$3200. No printer as yet, and I'm holding
off as long as I can. AUD$1600 for an Epson 2200 is way too much. I'm
slowly trying the service of various labs to try and determine which
machine prints are best.
I've also bought a 77/1.8 and am waiting on an F100/2.8 macro, but they
aren't strictly digital purchase the way the 24/2 was. I don't use wides
much, but needed something wider than a 50.
I've spent maybe another $1000 on LF and 6x7 gear and am trying to
convert a Kodak 3A into a 6x12 panoramic so I haven't abandoned film yet
either.
The *ist-D has become the default camera and it is probably time to sell
the MZ5n and maybe the LX too.
There is a whole lot of rationalizing that could be done amongst the
lenses, but at the moment there just isn't enough reason to do it.
