I am pleased that so many are buying and using the *istD. Their feedback hopefully will lead Pentax into 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation digitals. As for as resolution I have been awed by my NikonCoolpix 885 at 3mp so I can only imagine what an *istD can produce.
I think and hope that in 5 years, digital printing will have advanced and Pentax will present the "*istD-LX" which will be an advanced full frame sensor camera putting an end to any questions about resolution (hopefully for about $2000) and the pros will be using MF type digital cameras with even larger sensors. I will be ready for the "*istD-LX", make a doorstop out of my 67 stuff, add the PZ1P to my camera collection. But there are those that need the digital now. A local wedding was shot with a SLR digital camera with a monitor showing instant pics to the viewers and everyone was awed. Easier on the photographer and more pleasing to the customer. Why wait if you are a pro. A friend attended a one week course on wedding photography and they stressed heavily to get into digital now. Regards from the annointed (by someone on the list) "Luddite"* see below Mark Stringer [EMAIL PROTECTED] I thought it was a rare gem sold on the home shopping network... One entry found for Luddite.
