Macintosh PowerBook of course. Slightly pricier, but you get what you pay
for. When the same company that makes the hardware also makes the
software, it makes a lot of sense.

Seriously?

There are 3 schools of thought in portable computing:

A/  As small and as light as possible with reduced features (11/12 inch
screen)

B/  Medium in size and nature - does more than A but more to carry (14/15
inch screen)

C/  Biggest - all the toys, expensive, really a desktop replacement (17
inch screen)

I'm B, but if I had to buy new it would be A. There are some very nice
rugged PC laptops out there if you're a windows man. If you're a Mac man,
how about a nice lil iBook?
