        On the rare occassion when someone around here is seriously 
        wanting quality portrait photographs I use an old 150mm f2.8
        which I got from a fellow PDML'er. It "sees" an area approx-
        imately 16x20 inches at closest focus and remains an f2.8
        optic. If tighter is needed there's plenty of croppability
        from the large film area. If there's anything lacking in the
        image quality, it is beyond me to notice it.  

        I think this is one of the "sleeper lenses" for the 6x7
