If you want to consider that, then you should look into the special tickets offered by several of the airlines for a complete round-the-world trip. I know, for example, that Air New Zealand (part of the Star Alliance) offer such a ticket. There are a few restrictions on the ticket, but it looks as though you could meet the conditions fairly easily.
