I kind of figured this, but the manual doesn't say anything about MLU,
just 2 or 12 seconds.  If I listen I think I can hear a "MLU" sound.

Hello Steve,

I thought by setting the timer to 2 secs instead of 12, that you got
mirror pre-fire, just like the PZ-1p.  I believe it is a custom
setting.
