Hell, Rob, at $6-7K, I know I wouldn't have been able to afford it. Besides, look at all the problems Contax had to go through with that chip. I think Pentax was wise to drop it. Later on, when Foveon produces a full frame chip, or when Sony makes a nice full frame chip, we'll probably have one, too. I, too, would love to be able to afford to buy a 1Ds. It will come in time. Sony's F828 is not without its problems, if I can believe what I read about it, but I could well end up with one as my high-end P&S.
