I'm like you, Dave,

I never throw out a shot. Why? Well, there's the pack rat thing. There's also the "I might change my mind and like it some day" thing.

Sort of like this:

My developer, Robert is always making fun of how I can get an average of 38 or 39 shots per roll. He wonders if I stretch the film. So, recently, I get back contacts, and this one is the first shot on the roll. It's about 1 1/2 frames before "0" on the film <g>. Robert says, "I'm guessing that this is just you shooting off the first few frames to get to the beginning of the film. But, I stuck it on the contact anyway, because, know what? I kind of like it!"

Or, maybe it's just a comment on my usual framing and composition.

Point is, some day, I might go back, look at that one, and just for the fun of it, print it up. It may tickle my fancy some day, and I don't want to throw away that possibility.

Besides, I figure maybe, once I'm dead, my executors are going to have to go through every frame I ever shot. It'll serve the bastards right!

As a matter of fact, I think I'll put that in my will. Hmmm...

cheers,
frank
